Well hello my old friend, Blog.
I recently sent a friend an e-mail, and in connection with that she asked about my blog. My first thought was "What blog? ....oh THAT blog." After my religion class ended in December I had emotionally threw in the towel in regards to BYU Religion classes. Only to find out that I need one more.... will they ever end?!!?!? I'm totally fine with Institute classes and doing substitute teaching for seminary, but something about BYU religion classes I just can't jive with. It's like nails on a chalkboard. Ugh..... *shivers*.
Anyway, this is a new chapter in my life. A lot of things happened in the past few months. Forrest and I went to Tucson shortly before Thanksgiving to meet my family, and over Christmas and New Years I went to visit his family in DC. It was absolutely wonderful. DC was a welcomed break, and it was so good to be back in the area where I grew up. We decided that if we ever get the chance to move back there, we will.
I'm currently working on classes to complete my minor in Marriage and Family Studies as part of preparing for a masters program in nursing at the University of Texas in Austin. It'll be at least two years before I enter the program, but that is the plan.
I was also hired as a full time employee at Lockton Companies, Denver Series in December 2011 and my first day was the work Christmas party at the Ritz in Downtown Denver. It was amazing. Interestingly enough it was the weekend after I returned from visiting Forrest in an attempted surprise trip to Austin. While in Texas, we attended his work party which was in an Irish inspired club/pub turned game arcade. As he works as an animator, it was quite fitting. The contrast though between the two parties was almost laughable and made for some great memories on my end.
The next adventure on the horizon - navigate full-time girlfriend, full-time job, and full-time school.
